The Country Farmhouse

Winona, Texas · the builder’s own home

Before we ask a client to trust us with their home, it seems fair that we should have trusted ourselves with our own. This one-and-a-half-story farmhouse is where our family lives — a long porch on a rise of open pasture, a wood stove at the center, and a roof of cedar shingles laid one at a time by our own crew. It carries every conviction we build by: honest proportion, real materials, and an envelope engineered far past the code minimum.
