Novarum Homes Inc. was established to tap into the US market for housing and bring its take on sustainable, comfortable homes that are also beautiful. That’s why at Novarum we are striving to look at old catalogues and historical precedent for the areas we build in (East Texas) to build with modern comforts, but also build beautifully.
Novarum is also developing it’s own offering of Tiny Homes in order to meet the demand of affordable housing. See our past projects page to see our prototype.
Services that we provide:
Architectural Consultation
Classical Architectural and Building Science principles brought to your house design.
Design and Rendering
We iron out all the details of your home with engineers and produce drawings for the build. We can also create a digital walkthrough of your home so you can be sure of your choices. You can see an example of a rendering below.
Construction
We can build your home, plain and simple. Depending on your needs and our availability we may also hire out certain elements to sub-contractors. We will have in-house millwork (i.e. custom cabinets, kitchens etc.) available.
General Contracting
We can also manage your build, with a budget, schedule and hiring sub-contractors.
We can also implement a client portal for good client-builder communication through an online portal.
The building process
Although it can seem self explanatory here is the general process in a nut-shell:
1Concept
We walkthrough any plans or ideas you would like and begin to merge them into a tangible build plan. We take into account historical precedent and classical building principles. We have discussions on building "styles". Video walkthroughs of your house can be produced so you can "try out" the house, to see what changes you would like to make. As shown in the video on the right for the current farmhouse project we are constructing in Winona, TX.
2Design & Materials Selection
We work with engineers to get a build plan ready, upon which we have a complete set of drawings with which we can work with. We also start to pick out selections and price those out for the final phases. Materials are ordered and construction can soon begin.
3Construction
Ground is broken and building is commenced with foundation, framing, roofing then making our way to plumbing, electrical then insulation and drywall etc.
4Finishes
The final phase in construction is to get the walls finished, floors tiled, the trim complete, the doors and kitchens installed etc. We are then well underway to completion. Progress will be able to be monitored through a portal online but there will also be opportunity for site visits.
Meet our Company President
Meet Wladyslaw, our owner and president. He has spent over 30 years in Canada in architectural millwork, cabinet making, manufacturing and production of wood products, home renovations and several home builds and additions. He has run his own Canadian company, Art Tech consulting for over 20 years, and now has moved onto start Novarum Homes in the US. He has developed a proprietary wall system for Tiny Homes and is very enthusiastic about bringing sustainable solutions and 'building science' methods to the US market and beyond.
